Avely Hart, senior partner of the firm, has also been a partner in the firm Cyruli Shanks Hart & Zizmor LLP since March of 2007 to August 2020.  Before that, he was a founding member of the firm Hart & Hart LLP since 1993.  Mr. Hart started his legal career in 1991 as an associate of Elias Goodman & Shanks, a New York law firm specializing in Real Estate Transactions, Construction and Development, Corporate Law and Commercial Litigation.

 

Mr. Hart has over thirty-two (32) years experience in Real Estate Transactions, Construction and Development, as well as Business and Corporate Law representing private clients, corporate investors and builders, and institutional clients in virtually all areas including:

 

• The purchase and sale of residential, commercial, and hotel properties by means of fee, leasehold, sale of leasehold and stock transactions;

• Loan and financing transactions, which includes mortgage loans with respect to various types of properties and property interests;

• Drafting and execution of ground, retail, office and loft leases;

• Drafting and preparation of mortgage documents for various types of residential, commercial and construction loans;

• Construction and development agreements;

• Joint venture agreements; 

• Representing lending institutions in business loan and mortgage loan transactions;

• “Workouts” with lenders, landlords, and tenants; and

• Estate Planning & Asset protection.

For many of his domestic and international clients, Mr. Hart acts as outside general counsel regarding matters of corporate governance and other commercial endeavors.  Mr. Hart’s corporate practice involves formation, merger, acquisition and restructuring of corporate entities domestically and internationally. 

 

Mr. Hart is fluent in English and Russian languages.

 

Mr. Hart received his Juris Doctor degree from City University of New York School of Law, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from State University of New York at Stony Brook.

 

Mr. Hart is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and before the Supreme Court of the United States.
